Adagio (French) is a Symphonic Progressive Metal / Neo-Classical Progressive Metal band from Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France which was formed by Stephan Forte (guitar, vocals) in 2000.
Adagio is the composition of Melodic Metal and Extreme Metal, Adagio considered a more brutal version of Underworld.
The album "Sanctus Ignis" (2001) makes the Adagio as "Best Progressive Metal Newcoming Act" and Stephan Forte was also awarded as the "Best Shredder"
February 2010 Christian Palin (vocals) out of the Adagio and Adagio recruit Swedish vocalist Mats Leven (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, Therion and) for the European tour with Kamelot which will begin on March 25, 2010 in Belgium.
